Dr. Jackson Takes Eye Care to New Heights in El Salvador.

PRM Blog - El Salvador

Our very own Dr. Gregory Jackson traveled with a team to the mountains of Gotera, Morazan, El Salvador for a week long eye clinic to help underserved people with their vision needs.

There were over 415 patients examined, with 375 pairs of custom eyeglasses created and given to patients; many who had never worn eyeglasses before. There were six patients discovered to be a high risk for glaucoma and were triaged to appropriate long term care facilities in El Salvador.

We are very grateful to have a such a caring physician on our staff. Dr. Jackson makes the trip to El Salvador 3 times a year working with the charity Eye Care Givers ; a wonderful organization who’s mission is to deliver sustainable eye care to El Salvadorans that live in remote areas without reasonable access to periodic eye care. When he is not helping people abroad, you can find Dr. Jackson at the Dauphin Street East location in Mobile, Al.

We also want to give a big shout out to the team members who worked with Dr. Jackson and who continue to make a difference in the lives of many through their hard work and giving attitudes.  Sally Jackson, Rachel Ragland and Haley Bennett  Thank you for all you do.
