Audiology is the study of hearing disorders through the identification and measurement of hearing loss as well as the rehabilitation of persons with hearing impairments. An audiologist specializes in evaluating and treating people with hearing loss. The minimum requirement to become a certified audiologist is a master's degree in Audiology, serve a nine-month fellowship and pass a national exam.

We are proud to offer our patients a certified Audiology staff utilizing the latest technologies available to detect and treat hearing loss.

Our Audiology department conducts a wide variety of tests to determine the exact nature of a patient's hearing loss. These tests can be conducted on patients of all ages beginning at birth. They also administer tests of balance to evaluate vertigo or dizziness.

Once a hearing loss has been detected, there are a number of treatment options available. One of the major considerations, if surgery or medical treatment is not recommended, is amplification. Our Audiology and Hearing Aid Center not only provides many styles and brands of hearing aids for amplification, but also offers amplified telephones, amplifiers for televisions and personal amplifying devices that do not require a special fitting.
