Housekeeper

SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for employees and patients and maintaining housekeeping supplies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Cleans restrooms as scheduled and replaces supplies as required. Initials schedule sheet confirming the room has been checked and cleaned.
  1. Responds to emergency cleaning requests within two minutes.
  1. Checks break rooms regularly and cleans them as needed.
  1. Prepares coffee for clinic and patient waiting areas (east office).
  1. Collects bio-hazard red bags as required following OSHA guidelines.
  1. Empties trash regularly.
  1. Vacuums carpets regularly.
  1. Cleans designated refrigerators and microwaves as needed.
  1. Cleans doors and walls regularly.
  1. Washes dishes.
  1. Straightens waiting areas throughout the clinics.
  1. Cleans mirrors and glass regularly.
  1. Reports housekeeping and maintenance problems to the supervisor.
  1. Is responsible for knowing the work schedule, observing work hours and maintaining a good attendance record.  (See attached attendance and punctuality requirements.)
  1. Attends in-service programs as directed or required.
  1. Is responsible for maintaining a good working relationships with all employees, supervisors, and the public.
  1. Follows all corporate and departmental policies and procedures and complies with the Employee Handbook. Exemplifies the Company’s Five Star Program.
  1. Performs other tasks as needed or directed.

Education or Training: Prefer a high school graduate or GED.

Knowledge and Experience: Requires at least 1 year of work experience in the field of housekeeping.

Dexterity: Must have good manual dexterity. Must be able to function in an office setting. Accuracy: Must be able to clean thoroughly.

Physical Activity: Physical activity involves reaching, carrying, looking, listening, talking, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, grasping, lifting and much standing and walking,    resulting in medium work.

Exertion Requirements: Medium – must be able to exert force to lift and carry from 20 to 50 pounds up to 10 feet occasionally, from 10 to 15 pounds of force up to 10 feet frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  Must be able to walk, stand or sit to a significant degree depending on task requirements.

Working Conditions: Works in an office setting, which is well-lighted, ventilated

and temperature regulated.

Must be able to concentrate on work tasks amidst distractions, such as noise, conversations and foot traffic.

Must be able to work in a confined area performing repetitive work for extended periods of time.

Hazards or Risks: Possibly cuts or minor burns from equipment and strains due to lifting requirements.

Worker Characteristics: Must have responsible, ethical and professional manner with the

Audiologist- Full Time Days

An audiologist specializes in evaluating and treating people with hearing loss.  The audiologist conducts a wide variety of tests to determine the exact nature of the individuals problem.  The audiologist also dispenses and fits hearing aids, administers tests for balance and rehabilitation training.

Must have AuD or Master’s degree in Audiology and certification by American Speech and Hearing Association and Alabama Board of Examiners for  Speech, Pathology and Audiology.

SUMMARY OF JOB:

 

A Unit Secretary is to provide clerical support to the Otolaryngologist and the ENT clinical staff, ensuring a systematic and coordinated department.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Answers the telephone for the Otolaryngologists utilizing positive communication skills and patient protocols.

 

  1. Assists patients scheduling appointments and updates schedules as needed.

 

  1. Audits stock and maintains supplies for the station.

 

  1. Prepares, sorts and delivers mail.

 

  1. Distributes and files memoranda, letters and reports.

 

  1. Assists the physician and nurses as needed.

 

  1. Assists in cleaning and maintaining supplies and instruments in the examination rooms.

 

  1. Assists the physician with ordering prescriptions as directed.

 

  1. Runs errands for physicians and the clinic as directed.

 

  1. Maintains equipment and orders repairs as necessary.

 

  1. Secures consultations from area hospitals and distributes to the proper physician.

 

  1. Assists all clinic patients answering questions, solving problems, and giving directions.

 

  1. Posts surgeries with the appropriate facility. (East office)

 

  1. Gives pre-operative instructions to patients. (East office)
