Premier Medical employs some of the best people in Mobile and surrounding counties. We have 290 positions, most of which are full-time. (See List of Positions section following.) The Mobile Register lists all vacant positions in the Classified Section of the paper on weekends.

Accounting Clerks - Responsible for the payment of invoices and preparation of employee paychecks.

Accounts Receivable Clerks - Keys insurance payments and adjustments into computer.

Allergy Technicians - Provides clinical and clerical support in the testing and treatment of allergy patients.

Appointment Clerks - Schedules and changes appointments for patients within the parameters established by the company.

Audiologists - Specializes in evaluation and treating people with hearing loss.

Cashiers - Provides assistance to patients paying for medical care and enters charges and payments into the computer system.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistants - Responsible for assisting the ophthalmologists with the testing and treatment of ophthalmic (eye) patients.

Contact Lens Technicians - Performs a variety of ophthalmic tests, fits patients with appropriate contact lenses and trains patients in the care and use of lenses.

Diagnostic Assistants - Performs diagnostic eye tests as directed by the ophthalmologists.

Housekeepers - Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and employees and for maintaining housekeeping supplies.

Insurance Clerks - Files medical insurance with carriers and explains coverage and payments to patients.

Licensed Practical Nurses - Responsible for assisting physicians with routine medical examinations, minor surgical procedures, scheduling surgeries and other tests and ordering medications.

Medical Assistants - Assists the physician with the examination, testing, treatment and care of patients.

Medical Records Clerks - Provides timely and accurate patient records to the clinic's departments.

Ophthalmic Assistants - Assists the ophthalmologist with the testing, care and treatment of eye patients.

Opticians - Purchases, dispenses, repairs, fits and sells eyewear to patients.

Receptionists - Receives patients for the clinic in a professional and helpful manner and updates and processes patient information expediently and accurately into the computer system.

Registered Nurses - Assists the physician with medical examinations, surgical procedures, testing and treatments and schedules surgeries, x-rays and administers medications as directed.

Transcriptionists - Types, prints and distributes medical reports and letters for physicians.

Unit Secretaries - Provides clerical support to physicians and staff, thereby ensuring a coordinated and productive department.

X-Ray and CT Technicians - Obtains diagnostic examinations of patients using x-ray equipment or computerized tomography
